1956年に北海道浦河町に生まれる。1980年に和光大学人文学部芸術学科卒業。1981年から84年まで、スペインのバルセロナ市カタルーニャ州立製本美術学校に留学。1989年第６回植物画コンクールで国立科学博物館長賞受賞。日本植物画倶楽部初代会長。個展やグループ展のほか、ハント植物画国際公募展（アメリカ）、フローラヤポニカ展（イギリス）、韓国植物画協会日韓交流展覧会（韓国）等に招待出品。目黒学園カルチャースクール、産経学園、自主グループで植物画講師を務める。
